but, I really couldn't help it after the fur started to look like a rainbow.

Man, this is gorgeous. I am very envious of your watercolor technique.

The luminous quality in the eyes is my favorite portion of this piece (it is hard to get that luminous glow in any medium, I think), but I love the use of the mossy green in the highlight/shadow areas as well.

I started this painting sitting in our summer cottage's porch and it was raining heavily. I think it was a very helpful thing for creating the subtle tone changes in the eyes because the moisture in the air kept the paper a little damp constantly. I'm glad you like it
